Modern Evangelicalism and related American-born versions of the Christian faith have been said to have simplified the formula of becoming a Christian, but the New Testament tells a different story. The Lord Jesus Christ and His chosen apostles wanted disciples who would represent the kingdom of God in Spirit and truth.
