It is self-evident ‘many’ Christians do not perceive what should be self-evident
A “self evident truth” is something that proves itself. It does not need further evidence if one is just honest with the truth or doesn’t try to explain facts away. There are many unsettling self-evident truths in the Christian faith that Jesus predicted will see “many” dismayed or rejected on Judgment Day after believing they had been faithful Christians in their lives. Unfortunately “many” today are unaware, or accept conditions as normal that the New Testament writers would have considered most abnormal.
