Salvation is (only) for those who God makes into citizens of heaven on earth – audio sermon

    May 3, 2020 /

Christians are called to be the citizens of heaven on earth. Philippians 3 – 17 Brethren, join in following my example, and note those who so walk, as you have us for a pattern. 18 For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ … Lord bless you!

Though many are ‘Christian,’ why Jesus said ‘few are chosen’ – audio sermon

    April 26, 2020 /

For 500 years since the Reformation people have emphasized a view of the gospel that puts self and salvation at the center. Actually, the New Testament says security with God is to be the springboard for so much more – and the proof of what you say you have in the first place.

What is ‘Justification by Faith?’ – Sermon Audio

    March 1, 2020 /

Christians base their lives on the teaching the apostle Paul explained called “justification by faith.” This vital truth was brought to the forefront in 1517 by Martin Luther and the Reformers and has imprinted itself into the spiritual DNA of millions, even billions, since then to this day. While justification – being made acceptable to God – is truly by faith, the whole meaning of what Paul was saying has been lost on some. Teachings arising from early understandings have permitted people to turn a blind eye to worldliness, willfully sinful lifestyles, and basically, not accomplishing what justification by faith is supposed to accomplish – fruit of the Spirit and…

What it is to be ‘spiritual’ like Jesus and why you should you care

    January 5, 2020 /

Jesus was spiritual. As God and man in one He was the most dynamic Person who ever lived. He said His secret would be made available to those who followed Him and received the Holy Spirit. If they really did, there would be evidence and “fruit” of it. By the New Testament’s standards it is clear one may be a real believer in Jesus and yet not be spiritual. This message overviews the ins and outs of this, and lets the Bible speak. May the Lord bless you!
