About Salvation in Christ
The New Testament teaches that Jesus Christ’s forgiveness is for all past and present sins upon repentance, receiving Jesus as Lord, and baptism into Him by immersion in water, in the power of the Holy Spirit. Forgiveness is offered for future sins also, but salvation is often misrepresented by modern teachers and preachers to negate or minimize conditions Jesus required for anyone who wishes to be a Christian – also known as a disciple. Do you really love Jesus Christ? – Sermon audio
Jesus said a Christian’s love is proven by our responses to what He says. In America, the gospel is taught in more flavors than Baskin Robbins ice cream. Many are taught a level of “love” more in line with what the Protestant Reformers set the stage to allow for – or what modern society allows for – rather than what the New Testament fully teaches. The quality and measure of a Christian’s love for God is found out by the true test which is described in the New Testament. The problem behind all problems in Christianity
So many sincere Christians are in religious spiritual bondage while they suppose they more ardently champion the name of Christ. They are spiritually sick while they wonder why more people do not want the remedy they suppose they offer – that remedy being their rendition of the Christian faith. It is a major mistake to distrust the Apostle Paul
Nearly 2000 years after the apostle Paul wrote his many epistles, there are those today who have been calling doubt on whether he was someone who we should listen to so much. Their reasoning may be a variation of the argument that Jesus was the sinless Master, Paul a mere fallible student. Paul was not even one of the original 12 who knew Jesus prior to the Cross.
