Here we continue on in our discussion of Hebrews with a repeat on some talk on the New Covenant, as well as Jesus Christ’s Priesthood, salvation, and more. Hebrews was written to Jewish Christian converts, some of which had been born under the old covenant and brought into the new. Discussion of how this is relevant to Christians today is the focus. The Will of God
All human beings are hard-wired to have needs fulfilled in order to live in a state of comfort. Christians in particular are those called to have faith, see God’s hand, and believe Him in the context of their lives. They too need a form of “comfort” (or at least sense of purpose, etc.) in the context of their spiritual lives. The Bible says the highest purpose of the Gospel is that all glory goes to God. All of God’s creation is in rebellion. The more thoroughly we obey Him, the higher glory He receives in the overarching will of His plan of redemption and the kingdom of God. Do you…

Man was made to live in God’s presence, in the Garden of Eden, and ever since Adam and Eve were ejected, independently minded and fallen mankind has been trying to make do. A foundational topic of a normal Christian life, the “law of the spirit” is something everyone should know. Like the lilies of the field that just grow, the law is a spontaneous phenomenon experienced by those rightly abiding in Christ, in faith, and this overcomes the “law of sin” (or the sin nature).
