Being a disciple of Jesus Christ – sermon audio
Modern Evangelicalism and related American-born versions of the Christian faith have been said to have simplified the formula of becoming a Christian, but the New Testament tells a different story. The Lord Jesus Christ and His chosen apostles wanted disciples who would represent the kingdom of God in Spirit and truth. In the course of His teaching, Jesus laid down several conditions to being a true Christian. A Christians is by extension a “disciple” and it is a life covenant. This sermon goes over a few of the major points mostly quoting Jesus, along with a few other biblical passages. May the Lord bless you!

God in Jesus Christ had a plan, it is still His plan, it is called a people called after His own name. This people would have His own Spirit leading, teaching, guiding them. They would be a testimony to all. It is still His plan for those who will trust, believe, and obey.

When the ‘weakness’ of God is stronger than men – 1 Corinthians 1-2 – Audio
Christians would be well served to glean the fullness of what the Apostle Paul is saying in 1 Corinthians 1-2. Included in this is God is filtering for who really wants Him by a “foolish” message preached that is wiser than humans, and weakness that is stronger. Paul the called apostle and the power of God – Acts 19 – audio
In our continuation of the commentary on the Book of Acts, we do an overlap on Acts 19. Acts was written by Luke who also wrote the gospel named for him. By chapter 19 the narrative focuses largely on Paul’s missionary journeys. It is a precious book full of details one may glean for details of how they looked at the Christian faith – called the Way – and evidence of the Holy Spirit’s working through mere average people.
