Christians have nothing more important to do than become like Jesus – audio sermon

If you ever wondered what God wants from you, He has already stated it for all times.

Our first priority is not to live in the strength of our own abilities and desires of our mind and emotions. Our first priority is not to be little different than the rest of the people of the world with the exception that we have carved out a certain percentage of our time to Jesus Christ. Our first priority is not to feather our nest, pursue our goals and dreams and live with our own welfare primarily in mind.

So what is our first goal? To become like Jesus.

2 Cor 3 – 16 Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18 But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as [b]by the Spirit of the Lord.

Rom 8:29 – For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
