Meanwhile, the preachers of all times have portrayed Him as they see fit – with Bible verses in hand to back up their opinions. This sermon looks at these things and quotes Jesus extensively to let Him speak for Himself in light also of other scriptural teachings by the apostles. Lord bless you!

What is a religious fleshly Christian?
October 20, 2019 /A “religious fleshly Christian” is one whose faith is largely held within their earthly minds, not their spirits. The religious flesh is defined as when the natural mind apart from Jesus’ Spirit is in control, and has the preeminence. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind … Col 2:18 In reality the spirit and mind are integrated into a person, but the Bible plainly distinguishes between “carnal” or “fleshly” believers, and – sadly – such ones are prevalent today, though they may not know…

What is a ‘carnal’ Christian?
April 7, 2019 /Although some have questioned whether it is so, the Bible clearly says a person who is born again may be either a Christ-centered “spiritual” Christian or a self-centered “carnal” Christian. 1 Corinthians 3 And I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in Christ. 2 I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; 3 for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4 For…

Why God ‘commands’ His people to become spiritual – sermon audio
March 3, 2019 /In 1 Corinthians 3 the apostle Paul rebuked the Christians for being “carnal” and not “spiritual.” This plus other New Testament passages indicate that becoming a spiritual Christian is thus required by God. We put the word commands in quote marks however because there is no actual command, but becoming spiritual is an effective injunction that God expects His people to know and follow through on. Jesus gave His life for His people to know the fullness of it.
