The eternal perspective – and what God really wants – audio sermon

Humans are eternal beings who often live in the paradigm of this world, their cares, and not so mindful of what the Bible teaches is the true reality, or “eternal perspective.”

This is sad but not unexpected of those who do not name Christ, but what about those who do say they represent the kingdom of God on earth?

Since the Protestant Reformation put on steroids a tendency in the carnal theologians who came before. so many have argued with scripture verses allegedly backing them that they know the way of Christ.

While no doubt there has been much truth one might ask also whether the assemblies who come together in the name of Christ are truly in league with Him, and following His Spirit as the apostles and Christ taught.

The church was to be God’s lighthouse. Jesus and the apostle Paul stressed it was to be so utterly unified in spirit, mind, and heart. They had a goal in mind …

Ephesians 4:13 – … till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; …

The goal was to give a sin-fettered, lost and dying world a destination point – the true kingdom of God. The Lord did all He could by living a sinless life, dying on the cross, and being resurrected – but then delegated to humans His will which they were to embrace and believe Him for to see accomplished.

The existence of thousands of varying and contradicting versions of Christian sects, denominations and divisions today is a sad indictment, and a violation of God’s first injunction that they all be unified as one (John 17:20-23).

God however was not caught by surprise. Jesus asked “when the Son of man returns, will He even find faith on the earth.”

The Word says He also is the same forever. He has an eternal purpose. God’s will shall be accomplished one way or the other. Sadly, there will be much loss to the degree that people who claimed to represent Jesus did not obey.

May the Lord bless you.
