Galatians 1-2 Study
Galatians was written by the Apostle Paul to counter “Judaizers” infiltrating the churches and corrupting the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
These Judaizers taught that the law of Moses must be maintained alongside faith in Jesus Christ in order to be declared righteous before God, and saved, and that one must be circumcised (which had been as a sign of adherence to the Old Covenant).
Paul was mortified by this perversion of the truth and what he wrote is applicable to Christians today – including against anyone trying to foist a similar heresy of lawkeeping as a condition they say is needed to be justified, or any mistake in parallel to mistakes the Galatians made.
In the Galatian epistle, the apostle reserves his strongest condemnation for what could corrupt the church – the bride of Christ, His body.
We had several people unable to make it, so this was a small group in which we dealt with individuals present.
In among this audio recording is also some talk of the Gospel, the need to be born again, and that spiritual truth is spiritually discerned (1 Cor 2).
May the Lord bless you!
