Romans 2-3 Bible Study – Friday Aug. 4, 2017
Here’s a continuation on our study line by line of Romans. It actually goes on tangents as the Spirit leads. SEE ALSO: Romans Bible Study – Friday July 21, 2017 In Romans, Paul begins to outline his gospel by commenting on conditions of peoples of the world who do not serve the true God. It is not pretty, as man is a sinner by nature, and needs the cleansing of Jesus’ blood, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit to make him a new creature in Christ. Romans Bible Study – Friday July 21, 2017
Here we jumped into Romans 1:1 after finishing the fifth and final study on the Sermon on the Mount. This study did not go very far, and just edged into the second chapter, as half the time was used up, and we hope in the grace of God to continue from where we left off next time. That said, there was a measure of harmony just the same, and what we began with in Romans fit with some of what we spoke on in Matthew 7 and elsewhere in that study. Have “the gates of Hades” prevailed against the church of Jesus Christ, or do we have a whole lot of compromise, imitations, and iniquity marring the testimony?
