What is a religious fleshly Christian?
October 20, 2019 /A “religious fleshly Christian” is one whose faith is largely held within their earthly minds, not their spirits. The religious flesh is defined as when the natural mind apart from Jesus’ Spirit is in control, and has the preeminence. Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind … Col 2:18 In reality the spirit and mind are integrated into a person, but the Bible plainly distinguishes between “carnal” or “fleshly” believers, and – sadly – such ones are prevalent today, though they may not know…

Who is permitted to be a Christian?
October 13, 2019 /Christianity is God’s perfect solution to all that is wrong with humankind. It is free, but not cheap, and Jesus said many will presume they are right with God, but are not. This message talks about God’s standards, and conditions Jesus Himself laid down for who can be His disciple. Message outline notes: The Standard • Christianity is God’s solution to sin, the effects of the fall of man, and all that is wrong with human lives. • It is to be a work between God and man – a life covenant; life for life. • It is first about Jesus. • One ought to see Jesus. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men? 4 For…

Why God ‘commands’ His people to become spiritual – sermon audio
March 3, 2019 /In 1 Corinthians 3 the apostle Paul rebuked the Christians for being “carnal” and not “spiritual.” This plus other New Testament passages indicate that becoming a spiritual Christian is thus required by God. We put the word commands in quote marks however because there is no actual command, but becoming spiritual is an effective injunction that God expects His people to know and follow through on. Jesus gave His life for His people to know the fullness of it.
