Jesus was a role model and living template for all Christians

The goal of the gospel: a mature son

Jesus came to reproduce after His own spiritual kind. The following factors that were true of Jesus are to be true of a true Christian.
With man these are impossible, but with God they are possible:
(Note: a Christian is called to be toward Jesus and the Father in their right order as Jesus was to the Father). …

· Jesus loved the Father and always wanted to do what the Father wanted

· Jesus could never even begin to think of sinning because He knew this would hurt the Father’s heart

· It was no hardship really, even if Jesus did have His own will and desires of soul

· Jesus lived to please the Father

· He knew the Father “had His back” in all He did in the Father’s service and the Father protected Jesus as He was under the Father’s cover

· He could comply with the Father and had power to do so

· Jesus never tried to “get away with” things or “push the limits” with anything the Father did not want

· Jesus never longed for sin or independent-from-God self-will

· Jesus did not even think or wish for anything that would displease the Father

· He knew to run counter to the Father would destroy the fellowship He had

· He knew and lived in constant fellowship with the Father

· The fellowship Jesus had with the Father was worth more to Him than anything this world might offer

· Jesus possessed perfect union with the Father

· The union with the Father was deep, palpable, not vague or hit-or-miss

· Jesus knew the Father’s voice

· Jesus could recognize a stranger’s voice

· Jesus knew what thoughts were from Himself, His own origin, and those of the Father

· Jesus did not mistake His own inner voice for that of the Father

· Jesus did not mistake the voice of a whispering evil spirit as that of the Father

· He was as familiar with the Father’s voice as a child ought to be with its parent

(An ordinary human child recognizes the voice of its mother and father)

· Jesus was not easily swayed by His own will, reasoning, etc. contrary to the Father’s voice/will

· Jesus was keenly aware of Satan the adversary

· Jesus knew Satan’s tricks, tactics, and strategies

· Jesus knew life on earth was a war field that would never end until He returned to end man’s right to self-rule and punish Satan and sinners in the judgment

· Jesus remained always vigilant

· He stood against the enemy

· Satan had nothing in Him

· Jesus loved people

· His love was not mere soulish affection of the fallen human, but His love was that of God

· It was no hardship to love with God’s love

· It was His very nature to love people with perfect love just as it was for the Father

· Jesus knew that to disobey the Father would hurt people and cost lives

· Jesus knew He was being watched by onlookers, and He sanctified Himself for their sakes, He said

· Jesus knew the power of witness and testimony of the people of God before the unbelievers, and He upheld His witness and testimony always

· Jesus could not come close to doing anything that would jeopardize others’ lives

· Jesus wanted to benefit and bless those around Him

· He lived to serve

· Jesus wanted God’s will for all who were in His sphere of influence

· Jesus did not struggle with hatred, unforgiveness, or other malicious iniquities

· Jesus had rule of His whole inner Man

· Jesus knew there was nothing in life to do but walk the narrow path

· To not walk the narrow path would hurt the Father, unthinkable

· To not walk the narrow path would hurt Himself in God – not to be done

· To not walk the narrow path would put the blood of others on His head – to be avoided at all costs, even the cost of His own life

· In this state of being and mind was righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit

· Jesus was a Man under authority

· In keeping with His agreement with the whole Law of God, He knew the divine order – His place, and range and limits of it

· The will and word of the Father was obeyed as by a Bondservant, even a faithful Son

· Jesus’ mentality and sensibility was that of a Citizen (the King) of the kingdom of God

· His identity was not that of Satan’s fallen kingdom, this world

· He was not confused as a citizen of Israel as Christians are who are too-deeply woven in to the American polity and culture

· Jesus was a resident alien of heaven living on earth, centered on God

· He was in harmony with the culture of heaven

· He was in harmony with the laws of the spirit realm

· He knew His own authority and had dominion within the realm God had given Him

· He never transgressed His own authority under the Father God

· He was the one created Being among all men and angels who was fully submissive and obedient the Father God, the rightful authority and only One to be praised

· Jesus lived to bring glory to the Father

· All that Jesus did was in order to bring glory to the Father

· The glory of Jesus the Obedient One was to the glory of the Father

· Jesus did not question His status (question His salvation) with the Father because of the above mentioned factors

· These added to a synergy, a powerful dynamic in which Jesus lived

· The paradigm Jesus lived is that which He came to model for us all

· JESUS CAME TO REPRODUCE AFTER HIS OWN SPIRITUAL KIND!

It would do any Christian well to meditate on these, and trust God for them.

All who call themselves Christian are called to have these factors to trust God for, believe Him for their fulfillment as they will and have faith in what He has said.

There are scripture verses to support all these above points. To save space, I just gave you the facts.

This should be our template. We may trust God for these things. The timing of them is the timing of each Christian to have his eyes opened by God to what it means to be a new creation in Christ, and lay hold of it by faith.

The just will live by faith in all God has said.

God is committed to these things becoming true in our experience.

In all these, He is glorified, as is only good and right.
