    October 14, 2017 /

What is Christianity and why do we live?

    October 12, 2017 /

Many of God’s people are numb, burnt out, complacent, and asleep. Others feel they are diligently following Him, some even on fire for Him, but if they are, is what they accomplish all that God wants? Is Christianity today – or just our local assembly or even our individual lives – in the center of God’s will? Is the true Gospel of Jesus Christ in your sphere on the rise, or decline? Is light pushing back darkness by a faith that once “turned the world upside down?” (Acts 17:6) Put more plainly: is what we experience the best God can do? If the Bible is true, too often the answer…

    Galatians 1-2 Study

    October 7, 2017 /

Galatians was written by the Apostle Paul to counter “Judaizers” infiltrating the churches and corrupting the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These Judaizers taught that the law of Moses must be maintained alongside faith in Jesus Christ in order to be declared righteous before God, and saved, and that one must be circumcised (which had been as a sign of adherence to the Old Covenant). Paul was mortified by this perversion of the truth and what he wrote is applicable to Christians today – including against anyone trying to foist a similar heresy of lawkeeping as a condition they say is needed to be justified, or any mistake in parallel to mistakes…

Why We Live – Audio Sermon

    October 1, 2017 /

What is the “meaning of life?” It is to know God! And, it’s to find our place in His eternal plan. The church is the ultimate expression of a succession of God’s interactions with man from the time of the Fall to Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Christ the Lord. We who name the name of Christ must get on board and let His Spirit teach us the reality of what may only be held in the abstract in our minds. Here’s a lesson that starts on the topic of why we live, then gives an overview of God’s proscribed means to escape the sin nature and seek holiness. Lord bless…

Romans 7 Explained – Bible Study Audio

    September 30, 2017 /

Here’s an audio recording of the study of Romans 7. Some of Romans 8 is discussed at the end too, and some other talk as God led. Below is a line by line commentary as well that was handed out. Lord bless you! Romans 7 line by line 7:1-3. Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man as long as he lives? 2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of…

Matthew 11 - 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
