    Can a Christian Lose Salvation?

    September 4, 2017 /

Many who inquire whether the Bible teaches Christians may lose their salvation start from the wrong frame of mind. While it is very normal and natural to want to ensure where one stands with the Creator, the spirit of their understanding can be off. Salvation is the most precious gift one can possibly receive, and it cost God the highest cost He could possibly pay. God had several desired outcomes in mind when He sent Jesus Christ to live a sinless life, teach people a new way, suffer for no wrongs of His own, and to die as a just perfect sacrifice for the sins of the unjust. Jesus Christ…

Becoming spiritual and guarding against the flesh

    September 3, 2017 /

Since the beginning of the church, Christians have been warned against “the flesh,” and exhorted to believe God and become spiritual (1 Cor 3). The New Covenant is a better covenant with better promises (Heb 8:6) and grace is both “unmerited favor,” and that which provides God’s spiritual enablement to know Him, hear Jesus’ voice (Jn 10), and be sons and daughters who “walk in the spirit (Gal 5, Rom 8). But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with…

Salvation in Christ – Romans 5 Study and Side Commentary – Sept 1, 2017

    September 1, 2017 /

Here we continue on in Romans, chapter 5, but a lot of side comments and even some quotes are read from ante-Nicene leaders (pre-300 AD / Constantine). SEE ALSO: Salvation By Faith in Jesus Christ – Romans 4 Bible Study Those leaders words were read not to supercede the scriptures, but to merely show how they understood the scriptures. Their holy calling was to preserve the apostles’ doctrine that gave rise to the church. Lord bless you!

Salvation By Faith in Jesus Christ – Romans 4 Bible Study

    August 25, 2017 /

This is a continuation of a Bible study that also comments on the way of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We’ve been walking slowly through Romans, and this adds balance to the doctrine of “justification by faith.” Praise God for justification by faith, and just as certain is those who name the name of Christ need to know the whole counsel of God. Here are the recordings:

The Church that Jesus Would Build – Aug. 6, 2017

    August 6, 2017 /

Here is the recordings and notes from an overview of the church. Not said in the recording is this is a counterpoint to all the various people out there negating the importance of the body of Christ. Some people have said they want a personal relationship with God, but don’t see the importance of the body. Others go so far as to say it is not necessary in a Christian life. The scriptures do not teach these or other ways of looking at things that minimize or negate the vital importance of a church led and empowered by the Lord by His Spirit. Much more could be said, but the…

Matthew 11 - 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
