Freedom from sin – Romans 6 explained

    September 15, 2017 /

In our continuation of the discussion of Romans, we come to the monumental chapter 6 – which leads to the equally glorious revealed truths of Rom. 7, and 8. The recordings are hopefully self explanatory, and in the Bible study a couple handouts were given. These are posted below. Lord bless you!

Romans 5:12-20 study and side commentary – September 8, 2017

    September 9, 2017 /

This is another tangent-filled discussion continuing on in Romans 5 from 5:12-20. The second recording was a random discussion that tried to at least somewhat discuss the “sin nature” of man further. In the discussion was reference to man’s having “self” as his center, and the effective “god” on the “throne” of his heart. Sins come from a person whose internal makeup is twisted or warped somehow before God. A Christian is called to flee the sin nature by running and hiding himself in God through Jesus Christ. 1 Pet. 1:5 – who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the…

Christians Who Ask God For What He Has Already Given

    September 6, 2017 /

There once was a young man whose father had given him millions in a trust fund, but because of a tragic, sadly pathetic psychological condition, he could never remember it, and he saw himself as someone very poor. This young man, Christian was his name, made matters worse by daily sending letters, emails, and texts to his dad asking him for loans, and when his dad did not respond in the way he expected, he tried not to become bitter about it. It was tough for Christian, because in his mind, he was doing all he could to respect his dad, yet though he’d never want to accuse his kind…

    Can a Christian Lose Salvation?

    September 4, 2017 /

Many who inquire whether the Bible teaches Christians may lose their salvation start from the wrong frame of mind. While it is very normal and natural to want to ensure where one stands with the Creator, the spirit of their understanding can be off. Salvation is the most precious gift one can possibly receive, and it cost God the highest cost He could possibly pay. God had several desired outcomes in mind when He sent Jesus Christ to live a sinless life, teach people a new way, suffer for no wrongs of His own, and to die as a just perfect sacrifice for the sins of the unjust. Jesus Christ…

Becoming spiritual and guarding against the flesh

    September 3, 2017 /

Since the beginning of the church, Christians have been warned against “the flesh,” and exhorted to believe God and become spiritual (1 Cor 3). The New Covenant is a better covenant with better promises (Heb 8:6) and grace is both “unmerited favor,” and that which provides God’s spiritual enablement to know Him, hear Jesus’ voice (Jn 10), and be sons and daughters who “walk in the spirit (Gal 5, Rom 8). But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with…
