The witness and testimony Jesus asked of His followers as the best proof of God on earth
Christians who share their faith with others rightly give testimony of Jesus Christ and God’s truths, but the Lord also asked them for a testimony in their own right. To get this, instead of Christian soul winners selling sinners a message catering to their self interests (and the gospel is not really for sale), they needed to prepare them to die to self, and take up Christ’s interests. Jesus said life and death significance hinged on it, and if they obeyed Him implicitly, they could expect to create the best proof of God there is – lives transformed by amazing proportions. This would speak volumes more than words alone.

A religious fleshly mind produces the perfect clone of a fruitful and authentic Christian life and most Christians have no idea how much they are affected by it. Proof the religious flesh dominates most Christians
Religious flesh is why Christians have been the most divided faith on the face of the earth with tens of thousands of sub-groups and denominations when they all claim to be reading out of the same Bible and following the same God. Christians are to be the citizens of heaven on earth
Christians may be residents of any nation of this world, but their first allegiance and identity is they are the eternal citizens of heaven on earth. This is the express will of God, as written all over the place in the New Testament. It is the entire thrust of what God and the first apostles wanted to see accomplished. Jesus Christ gave His life in the hope that those who truly love Him would recognize it, go through a series of healthy godly responses, and choose to give their lives in return. Why God ‘commands’ His people to become spiritual – sermon audio
In 1 Corinthians 3 the apostle Paul rebuked the Christians for being “carnal” and not “spiritual.” This plus other New Testament passages indicate that becoming a spiritual Christian is thus required by God. We put the word commands in quote marks however because there is no actual command, but becoming spiritual is an effective injunction that God expects His people to know and follow through on. Jesus gave His life for His people to know the fullness of it.
