    God’s sense of urgency

    December 23, 2017 /

The Bible says God sent Jesus Christ as the way to God and how many of God’s people have heard this but not let it sufficiently move them? In 2015 the Centers for Disease Control reported U.S. deaths at 2,712,630 million – 86,212 more than in 2014 – and this works out to an average 7,462 U.S. residents died per day, every day in 2015. How many of them died without Jesus? How many of them had heard the name “Jesus Christ” and had heard “Jesus saves,” but the words, though they passed through their minds, never sunk in with saving faith? And, among Christians, or those who say they…

Why the Epistle to the Hebrews is Relevant Today

    December 23, 2017 /

Here’s a study of the Epistle to the Hebrews, first two chapters, and it is full of lessons for Christians today. The author is unknown, some believe it was the Apostle Paul, others argue against that, but more important is God’s Spirit inspired its writing. As usual, this lesson is full of side tangents. While people who celebrate Christmas are thinking of Jesus, one thing said is God sent His Son that we might know Him, and celebrate Him always. Happy are those who can do that truly.

Colossians 3 and beyond – audio

    December 9, 2017 /

Here we continue in our study of Colossians with rabbit trails to supporting and complementary scriptures and commentary to fill in a broader picture. The epistle was written to Christians who had an understanding of the apostles’ doctrine, and at that time there was no where near the confusion or contradictory statements over what it meant to be a Christian as there is today. They were in covenant with their Creator, and knew and had seen the power first hand of God’s Spirit working through the apostles. It was an awesome time, and God had great expectations of those who would look to Him to become lighthouses to show forth…

Why did God send Jesus Christ?

    December 8, 2017 /

There are countless opinions about Jesus Christ and what Christianity ought to look like, but what does the Bible say? From the time the Lord said, “I will build my church” (Mt. 16:18), it was evident that the God who does not change had a vision. The implementation of that vision to establish an assembly Jesus would build (Ps 127:1) was then begun by the apostles and prophets from the day the Holy Spirit was poured out at Pentecost (Acts 2). Ephesians 2:19-21 – Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 having been built…

When Adam tries to practice the faith of Christ – Audio

    December 3, 2017 /

This stands to be an eye-opening message as it’s a commentary on the faith since the beginning in light of what the apostles of Christ sought to establish. It’s also a warning to any Christian of the conditions we live under in which the results the Almighty God said are possible are not happening. That is, evil is on the rise and the testimony of the church is too often not so great, nor are other fruits promised by God for those who’d take the narrow way of the fullness of the Apostles’ doctrine. The term “in Adam” (1 Cor 15:22) is a biblical reference to the “old man,” (Rom…
