This started out as a Bible study of Romans 7 but soon went in another direction to answer questions and needs of people for more foundational understanding. Romans 5:12-20 study and side commentary – September 8, 2017
This is another tangent-filled discussion continuing on in Romans 5 from 5:12-20. The second recording was a random discussion that tried to at least somewhat discuss the “sin nature” of man further. In the discussion was reference to man’s having “self” as his center, and the effective “god” on the “throne” of his heart. Sins come from a person whose internal makeup is twisted or warped somehow before God. There once was a young man whose father had given him millions in a trust fund, but because of a tragic, sadly pathetic psychological condition, he could never remember it, and he saw himself as someone very poor. This young man, Christian was his name, made matters worse by daily sending letters, emails, and texts to his dad asking him for loans, and when his dad did not respond in the way he expected, he tried not to become bitter about it.
