For 500 years since the Reformation people have emphasized a view of the gospel that puts self and salvation at the center. Actually, the New Testament says security with God…

What is Christianity and why do we live?

Many of God’s people are numb, burnt out, complacent, and asleep. Others feel they are diligently following Him, some even on fire for Him, but if they are, is what…

    Romans 2-3 Bible Study – Friday Aug. 4, 2017

    August 5, 2017 /

Here’s a continuation on our study line by line of Romans. It actually goes on tangents as the Spirit leads. SEE ALSO: Romans Bible Study – Friday July 21, 2017 In Romans, Paul begins to outline his gospel by commenting on conditions of peoples of the world who do not serve the true God. It is not pretty, as man is a sinner by nature, and needs the cleansing of Jesus’ blood, and the infilling of the Holy Spirit to make him a new creature in Christ. The commentary pretty much speaks for itself. May the Lord bless you!

Romans Bible Study – Friday July 21, 2017

    July 21, 2017 /

Here we jumped into Romans 1:1 after finishing the fifth and final study on the Sermon on the Mount. This study did not go very far, and just edged into the second chapter, as half the time was used up, and we hope in the grace of God to continue from where we left off next time. That said, there was a measure of harmony just the same, and what we began with in Romans fit with some of what we spoke on in Matthew 7 and elsewhere in that study. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you!

Sermon On The Mount Part 5 – Friday July 21, 2017

    July 21, 2017 /

This is a finishing up from Matt 7:15-29. We took over 40 minutes to address various things that came up. These meetings always take into consideration who is in the room, and are prayed over that God leads the direction and flow. Certainly more could be said on this topic, but this is what we have. On this same night, after finishing the Sermon on the Mount, we switched gears, and began Romans from chapter 1, verse 1. Lord bless you!

Sermon On The Mount Part 4 – Friday July 14, 2017

    July 15, 2017 /

Matthew 7 gets into a few hot-button issues, including the prospect of “do not judge” that the secular world and popular culture have latched onto out of context. This is not a comprehensive treatment, but hits some of the high spots. As it is, with all the related side topics addressed, we only got to verse 14 of Matt 7. Next time we’ll try to wrap up the Sermon on the Mount discussion in the grace of God – and trust Him to enable us to live it! Lord Jesus bless you!

Matthew 11 - 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
