The Christian’s incredible capacity to accept false assurance
In light of what the New Testament says, so many Christians fall woefully short of God’s will for them, yet may think all is fine. It is possible for a Christian to think that all is well when nothing is as it should be. Jesus said a Christian’s love is proven by our responses to what He says. In America, the gospel is taught in more flavors than Baskin Robbins ice cream. Many are taught a level of “love” more in line with what the Protestant Reformers set the stage to allow for – or what modern society allows for – rather than what the New Testament fully teaches. The quality and measure of a Christian’s love for God is found out by the true test which is described in the New Testament. The witness and testimony Jesus asked of His followers as the best proof of God on earth
Christians who share their faith with others rightly give testimony of Jesus Christ and God’s truths, but the Lord also asked them for a testimony in their own right. To get this, instead of Christian soul winners selling sinners a message catering to their self interests (and the gospel is not really for sale), they needed to prepare them to die to self, and take up Christ’s interests. Jesus said life and death significance hinged on it, and if they obeyed Him implicitly, they could expect to create the best proof of God there is – lives transformed by amazing proportions. This would speak volumes more than words alone.

The problem behind all problems in Christianity
So many sincere Christians are in religious spiritual bondage while they suppose they more ardently champion the name of Christ. They are spiritually sick while they wonder why more people do not want the remedy they suppose they offer – that remedy being their rendition of the Christian faith.
