The Christian’s freedom from the law – Romans 7 – audio

    August 10, 2018 /

Romans 6 teaches freedom from sin and Romans 7 builds on this teaching freedom from the law. Tha chap[ter also clearly expounds on the so-called “sin nature” which Paul the apostle calls the “law of sin.” This teaching merges elements the apostle brought to light from Romans 6,7 and 8 to give a picture of the normal Christian life. What do you really know? – audio sermon

    August 5, 2018 /

The Bible is replete with the understanding that true knowledge of the things of God must be shown by God Himself. This work is done by the Holy Spirit who inspired the scriptures and who must open one’s eyes to the accurate portrayal of the scripture’s meaning. In 1 Corinthians 3, the apostle Paul points out that even Christians performing works of the Spirit (the spiritual gifts) can yet be “carnal.” Carnal simply means they are operating from the fleshly side of their makeup, and the Bible teaches we have a “flesh” (the carnal identity) in opposition to a “spirit” (united with Christ (1 Cor. 6:17). The multitude of understandings…

Paul the called apostle and the power of God – Acts 19 – audio

    August 3, 2018 /

In our continuation of the commentary on the Book of Acts, we do an overlap on Acts 19. Acts was written by Luke who also wrote the gospel named for him. By chapter 19 the narrative focuses largely on Paul’s missionary journeys. It is a precious book full of details one may glean for details of how they looked at the Christian faith – called the Way – and evidence of the Holy Spirit’s working through mere average people. May the Lord bless you!

The Holy Spirit’s leadership of the apostles and early Christians – Acts 17,18 – audio

    July 27, 2018 /

In this recording we continue our line by line walk-through of Acts in the 17th chapter. Many things are pointed out and one of these is how the Holy Spirit is the true and valid and legitimate and only builder of the church and inspiration of any works. The apostles demonstrate this time after time for those who want all of God. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you!

The truth of Romans 6 that sets Christians free – audio

    July 20, 2018 /

Foundational to the gospel are the truths found in Romans 6. The key terms “slave of sin,” and “free” from sin that Jesus promised in John 8 are echoed as indeed accomplished on the cross of Christ. May the Lord bless you!

Matthew 11 - 25 At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. 26 Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight. 27 All things have been delivered to Me by My Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father. Nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and the one to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. 28 Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
