It is self-evident ‘many’ Christians do not perceive what should be self-evident

    March 28, 2019 /

A “self evident truth” is something that proves itself. It does not need further evidence if one is just honest with the truth or doesn’t try to explain facts away. There are many unsettling self-evident truths in the Christian faith that Jesus predicted will see “many” dismayed or rejected on Judgment Day after believing they had been faithful Christians in their lives. Unfortunately “many” today are unaware, or accept conditions as normal that the New Testament writers would have considered most abnormal. Without diving into specific doctrinal disputes, this article will call attention to a number of self-evident truths exposing an inconvenient truth in the macro-level, 30,000-foot view of Christianity…

An end-of-the-age report card on church history

    March 13, 2019 /

The history of the Christian faith for the past 1900 years has been one in which those who named Christ utterly failed to keep Jesus Christ’s two highest injunctions. Since the last apostle John died around 100 AD, all sorts of deeds – good and bad – have been done in the name of Christ but this report is in light of the pure vision Jesus and the apostles expressed in the New Testament. Two Injunctions; Two Proofs of God The Lord said it was a command that His followers would be 1) known for an unearthly and truly God-like love, and 2) His will they remain united in doctrine,…

Why God ‘commands’ His people to become spiritual – sermon audio

    March 3, 2019 /

In 1 Corinthians 3 the apostle Paul rebuked the Christians for being “carnal” and not “spiritual.” This plus other New Testament passages indicate that becoming a spiritual Christian is thus required by God. We put the word commands in quote marks however because there is no actual command, but becoming spiritual is an effective injunction that God expects His people to know and follow through on. Jesus gave His life for His people to know the fullness of it.

    Who can be saved?

    January 18, 2019 /

In our continued discussion on aspects of salvation through Jesus Christ we talk about who may be saved. God wants His justified ones to walk by faith. He promises a new Spirit but conditions of heart the Lord spoke of must be in place. Grace is not just “unmerited favor,” it is also God’s empowerment. This is the full doctrine of the apostles. God’s obedient ones give Him maximum glory. They walk with Jesus, and stand by grace through faith. It is all preparation for eternity, and to be a testimony of God now. Lord bless you.
